When I am not drawing cartoons I enjoy the ancient art of enameling. There is something magical and primal in the process of melting the glass and fusing it to the coppper plate. Regardless how much you plan it there is always an awe and surprise when it comes out red hot from the kiln and as it cools off the colors and images develop right before your eyes. During my career as an artist I have become so accustomed to changing my style in order to accommodate the needs of the show I am working on, this affects my approach to enameling as well. Each piece I start is a new opportunity for an experiment and a new look.
